But not all that long ago, my life looked very different than it does today...
Where I started...
Back in 2018, I was a struggling waitress who was barely making ends meet.
I went through a divorce at 27 years old that left me with nothing.
Years prior, I had dropped out of college to get married & work with my now EX-husband at his family’s business.
Yes, I know that was naive but I was young, dumb, & burnt out on school.
So when our marriage didn’t work out (I’ll spare you the details) I was left with no job, no money, no home…
I took the clothes I could fit in my car and moved to a new city to start my life over, which is how I ended up in the service industry.
But even with all the uncertainty in my life at that time, I knew one thing for sure— I did not want to work a traditional 9-5 job.
The Vision...
I was never the person who knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I changed my major almost every year in college. Nothing appealed to me enough to want to spend the next 40+ years of my life doing it.
I’ve always been keenly aware of the ‘system’ & felt that it’s designed to keep us small & stuck.
It was crazy to me that no one ever questions this system. Why do we blindly adhere to it as if we don’t have any other choice?
I wanted to create a life for myself that consists of slow living, time & location freedom, travel, and financial overflow.
Some saw this as wishful thinking coming from a girl that was waiting tables, sleeping on an air mattress, drowning in debt, & too broke to buy groceries.
But I blocked out the naysayers & committed myself to finding a way.
At this point, what did I have to lose??
The Climb To Freedom...
So I spent my free time sitting on my air mattress (which was the only piece of furniture I had at the time) Googling “ways to make money online”.
To my excitement, I discovered there were lots of different online businesses I could start.
But here’s what I didn’t realize— not all online businesses will provide true freedom.
The first online business I attempted was a service-based business where I provided Digital Marketing services to business owners.
What a NIGHTMARE this online business turned out to be!
Sometimes the best way to discover what you truly want in life is to identify what you DON’T want.
And that’s what this first online business helped me to do.
While I started it as a side hustle while still at my 9-5, it became my main hustle when I lost my job.
The owners of the restaurant I worked at decided to go back to corporate America & closed their doors.
Sure, I could’ve easily gone & picked up another job, but I took this as an opportunity to go full-time online with my service based business.
And I quickly learned a very hard lesson…
Running an online service-based business was WAY more work than any traditional job I’d ever had.
I had to do everything… develop my own services, sell those services, fulfill those services, manage clients, handle customer support, deal with billing & refunds & cash flow… I was working 24/7 and more stressed out than ever!
I had achieved location freedom, but I had ZERO time freedom or mental freedom.
I knew there HAD to be a better way.
Then I discovered Ghost Commerce— THE online business model that changed everything for me.
Finally… a method for making money online that actually gave me my time back!
Fast forward to today…
I’m now earning money in a way that feels GOOD.
I have the freedom to spend my days how I want, where I want, all while money flows to me through my online channels.
I've discovered that making money online doesn't have to be hard. I don't have to sell my time (or my soul) to do it.
And above all, it gets to be FUN & fulfilling.
What a ride it was to get here! But I made it.
